shonin

The Shonin command line

Use the AWS CLI, the AWS SDKs, Terraform and CDK with the permission sets assigned to you in Shonin. shonin writes an AWS CLI profile for each of them, valid for 8 hours.

Install

macOS and Linux

Paste this in a terminal. It downloads the build for your system, checks it and puts shonin in your path.

curl -fsSL https://shonin.ai/install.sh | sh

Windows

Paste this in PowerShell. It downloads shonin.exe, checks it and adds it to your path.

irm https://shonin.ai/install.ps1 | iex

Or download a build

Compare the download with SHA256SUMS (shasum -a 256 on macOS, sha256sum on Linux), make it executable with chmod +x and move it to a folder in your path.

In the portal, open Access keys next to a permission set and paste the command it shows. Or sign in from the browser:

shonin login <your Shonin org>

Then use a profile, as with any AWS CLI profile:

aws sts get-caller-identity --profile <profile>

After 8 hours, run shonin login again.
